Happy New Year from Solo

Hello,
This New Years week was good. For P-day last Monday we went up to the mountains to hang out and visit the Solo 2 ward bishop's villa. The mountains were super cool and the view was awesome. The weather was the best part though, It was cold! Like maybe 70 degrees! It felt so nice. We played volleyball and ate food and visited a waterfall nearby his villa. All in all is was maybe my favorite P-day here so far.
We went to a wedding reception of a less active's daughter in the Banjasari ward on Tuesday. It was pretty cool. There was a lot of good food, that always makes wedding reception great.

Wednesday morning and Saturday morning I got pretty sick. On Wednesday I threw up and had diarrhea (diarrhea is like a daily occurrence anyways) But I didn't feel good those mornings, but once the afternoon came I was fine and went to work.

On New Year's Eve night the missionaries in Solo ate at a pretty cool restaurant and talked and chilled for a little bit. Then we went home at 9 o'clock and went to bed at 10:30. Just as we went to bed the power in our house went out. So that means our A/C and our fan were dead too. And that means no sleeping for us. So we lay there in the box cement room sweating and praying for the power to turn back on, it felt like forever. Then finally the power turns back on at 11:59 PM New Years night. So we cheered and said happy New Year and listened to our neighbors fireworks go off right next to our window for about 20 minutes. And then finally we were able to go to sleep.

We had another lesson with our investigator Hedrick this week and he really wants to be a part of our Church. He says that the Spirit is always so strong when he is here and everything we say just makes sense. We set a baptismal date for him on the 17th of January and he is excited for that. He came to church with us yesterday and the past 3 weeks. I am excited and happy for him.

That's about it for this week. Elder Sadiyono broke one of his teeth a few days ago so we are going to the dentist today to fix it hopefully. And then maybe we might go to Solo Baru and hit up some malls.

Have a great week!
